Olga, Richard, Luisa, and I have worked hard these past 10 months, discharging our duties to the best of our abilities. Over that time, we have seen many projects accomplished and witnessed the benefits of these changes. It has not been easy; there was much to do, making daily decisions, big and small ones; we’ve had successes and made mistakes along the way, but always with the heart of a fellow owner, looking out for the bigger persona in the room: our resort and its quality.
Being part of the El Valle Team is a voluntary position and an important reminder that this work consumes much energy and sacrifice, taking time from our families and work. We appreciate all the silent volunteers who have supported us these last ten months. The more community members who volunteer, the more we can do; we look forward to and appreciate anyone who can lend a hand going forward.

AND In the last four months, we have:
- Transition to external administration
- Support logistics of installation of the new fibre-only Internet provider
- >115k debt recovered in our Debt Collection Program
- Ortosa Street is reconditioning as a standalone project
- Bureacratic procedures for multi-sport facilities – more info during the AGM.
- Planting of 150 pine trees with local TV coverage
The EV Team has achieved much in the short time since the election, and in this next phase, we are excited to welcome in a new team as Olga, Richard B, and Luisa move on; we are so grateful for their energy, time and commitment - it has been significant.
So, who will be in the new team, and how will they benefit the resort management:

President: Jesús Mompeán
For those who do not know me, I am Jesús Mompeán, active military for 24 years, happy husband for 28 years and proud father of two now adults.
My work has shaped my commitment to my country and closer to home, to my community.
I first ran to represent the resort because I wanted to do my share to help administer the community, execute the improvements I had in mind and see these through to completion. I have many more ideas going forward, and there is still much to do before moving on.
Over the past ten months, an important lesson learnt is the significant number of daily tasks that need attention; these are time-stealers from larger, more substantial projects. One of these more critical undertakings is migrating to a new administration provider - completing this assignment motivates my decision to run again as Community President. I want to ensure this is executed fully and performed to a high standard.
Future
Debt Management - I want to concentrate mercilessly on debt recovery. With the new Lawyers I fully trust, who have experience in this field, and the new Administration Team, I can now prioritise 95% of my effort to chase that debt and not reward debtors. Collecting debt will allow us to invest further and improve our resort.
I intend to make EL Valle Golf Resort recognised as one of the best resorts in the region - I look forward to sharing several ideas on how we can achieve this at the AGM.

Vice-President: Anthony Cockings
I’ve been part of the El Valle Golf Resort community for over six years as an owner, but my connection goes back much further—I’ve been visiting since it was first built and even saw its construction. I decided to make this beautiful resort my full-time home ten years ago. I’m deeply invested in the community and love its diversity, as well as seeing neighbours come together to enjoy the facilities and the stunning surroundings.
Over the years, I’ve demonstrated a strong commitment to supporting our community. I’ve organised events like the annual charity week, Halloween trick or treating, and community hikes (to name a few) while sharing my local knowledge.
I have consistently worked to foster a sense of togetherness and make El Valle a vibrant and welcoming place.
Professionally, I bring a wealth of experience in entrepreneurship, having started my first business at 17. Today, I own several successful companies. My bilingual skills in English and Spanish make me well-suited to effectively communicate with and represent our diverse community. I’m also skilled at problem-solving, organisation, and turning creative ideas into actionable results; these qualities I will bring to the vice president role.
Future
One of my roles as vice president is to monitor security protocols, ensure contract performance, and resolve problems with neighbours regarding security spotlights and cameras. I will also work alongside the president on the new camera renovation project.
With my family and closest friends living here, I’m motivated to continue the positive progress we’ve seen over the past year—not just for them but for all our neighbours. I understand our resort's challenges and am ready to work collaboratively to tackle them head-on. If you see me around the resort or out running in the mountains, feel free to stop me with your questions or suggestions. Together, we can make El Valle even better!

Resort Appearance: Richard Ward
I spent most of my working life living in Yorkshire and retired to El Valle 6+ years ago.
As a hobby, I designed and landscaped gardens for family and friends.
Around four years ago, I was responsible for the resort's appearance and gained an understanding of the problems we face. While managing STV, I built a good working relationship with their senior management and with a minimal budget, we made many improvements.
Future
El Valle is a 5-star resort, but sadly, a few of our grass and garden spaces need attention to meet that standard. I aim to improve those areas and reduce our dependence on expensive watering.

Maintenance and Logistics: Carlos Losana Perales
My name is Carlos Losana Perales, and my family and I have been residents of El Valle Golf Resort for two and a half years. I am a father of three children and, although I was born in Cartagena, my personal and professional career has taken me to live in many places. However, I can say with conviction that this Resort is among the best places I have been fortunate to live.
When Jesús asked me to join his team, I accepted without hesitation. His passion and enthusiasm are inspiring, and I am deeply motivated to support his project to consolidate this Resort as an exceptional place to live.
Future
In this initiative, I would assume responsibility for maintenance and logistics, areas in which I have accumulated significant experience throughout my working life. My knowledge and skills can contribute to improving these fundamental aspects of our community. My goal is to optimise the maintenance team's work, aiming for the highest levels of effectiveness and efficiency.
I greatly value suggestions and ideas from neighbours related to these areas. Your suggestions can be the key to achieving the best possible results. Likewise, I remain at your disposal to deal with any concerns or complaints that may arise, intending to seek appropriate solutions that benefit all.
I thank you in advance for your support and trust. Please do not hesitate to contact me if you need anything.

Finance and Accounting Liaison: David McAllister
I moved to El Valle 7 years ago with my family, and we quickly fell in love with the community's charm and potential.
I aim to use the experiences I have gained from opening and franchising my restaurant, UrbanBurrito Bar (in various locations in Spain), as a finance and accounting liaison for the Community.
Future
I'm excited about what the future holds for El Valle. I want to help make it an even better place to live by working to improve local amenities and ensure that all residents have access to the best services and opportunities.
I am fluent in English and Spanish, which will help me deal with various suppliers, contractors and staff. I will always seek to source the best deal for El Valle and its residents and to communicate our financial position clearly to residents so we can continue to grow as one of the most desirable resorts.
The future is positive
We look forward to this next year. Should we be appointed, we will work hard to make this resort a place that brings pride to our residents, owners and visitors.
